Juice set to be loosed at community apple pressing day in Frome
SUSTAINABLE Frome’s Apple Group is inviting people to bring their own apples along to a communal pressing day this Sunday and use the group’s press to make fresh apple juice.
The communal pressing day is being held at the Mendip Community Association Garden, alongside the Key Centre on Feltham Lane, Frome and will run from 11am to 4pm. People can bring a small amount of apples, up to a single box or small trug, to turn into juice, and should bring a container to take away the juice in.
To make sure people do not have to wait long to use the press, the Apple Group would like anyone planning to come along to book a time-slot in advance by emailing email@example.com.
Apple Group organiser Helen Johnstone said: “Freshly pressed juice tastes so much better than other types of juice.”
