Jos Buttler has been called up to England's ODI and T20 squads to take on Pakistan
It follows an impressive winter with the England Lions in Bangladesh and Sri Lanka, as well as training with the England Performance Programme in India.
Buttler joins Somerset CCC team mate Craig Kieswetter in the 15-man T20 squad and the 16-man ODI squad, which will start by facing England Lions this Friday in Abu Dhabi in preparation for the Pakistan series.
The ODI series begins in Abu Dhabi next Monday, February 13, while the T20 series gets under way in Dubai on Thursday, February 23.
National selector Geoff Miller said: "We have selected two squads that include both experienced international players and younger players who have performed strongly for England Lions in recent months and deserve an opportunity to further test themselves against quality opposition.
"Playing against Pakistan in the UAE will be challenging but it is important that these players continue to develop their skills so that we are able to make strides in limited-overs cricket, particularly on the subcontinent."
