A JOINT photographic exhibition at the Bridgwater Arts Centre aims to inspire and delight everyone who sees the pieces on display.

The Focused Eye exhibition combines the work of photographer Chris Abbott and award-winning pieces from Sydenham Camera Club.

For the past 25 years, Chris has been making fine art photographs "for the joy of it" during his travels across Somerset. Having achieved a distinction in his City and Guilds qualification from Bridgwater College, he now attracts commissioned work on a wide range of subjects.

A newcomer to the arts centre, Sydenham Camera Club has exhibited locally for many years.

Members' diverse prize-winning images are featured in this exhibition. They hold tutorials in digital imaging and manipulation and share skills in their weekly meetings.

The exhibition runs from today until Thursday, July 30. The gallery is open from 10.30am to 5pm Tuesday to Friday and from 10am to 1pm on Saturday.

The exhibition is also viewable during bar opening hours from 7pm to 11pm Tuesday to Saturday.
