Inquiry after horse killed in crash
An investigation has been called for after a horse with a teenage rider died after it collided with a car in a North Somerset village.
A 16-year-old girl was riding the horse near Hutton, on the outskirts of Weston-super-Mare, at 7.15am last Thursday when the incident happened.
The horse died at the scene shortly after the accident and the rider was taken to Weston General Hospital, but did not suffer serious injuries.
Mike Bell, the Lib Dem Parliamentary Candidate for the area, has called on North Somerset Council to review traffic flows in the area to make things safer for all.
