Ideal for a shepherd's pie? Probably the best potato shaped like a sheep you'll see today
A EWE-NIQUE discovery was made at Burcott Road allotments this week.
Steve and Lorna Binning were digging up their potato crop when they found one that looked more like it belonged in a flock than a sack of spuds.
With a face, four legs and ears it bears more than a passing resemblance to a sheep.
Steve said: “We’ve had the allotment for about eight years but we’ve never seen anything like this before.”

They’ve named it Spud and despite its unusual appearance they’re not going to let it go to waste.
“We’ll probably chip it,” said Lorna.
