Hundreds to take part in walk
HUNDREDS of Somerset residents will be taking part in a sponsored walk around the grounds of Montacute House this weekend.
Participants will be wearing pink clothing and donning fancy dress as they raise money for Cancer Research UK.
Angela Wills, organiser of Somerset Stride and volunteer for Cancer Research UK, said the charity's work is vital.
She said: "Breast cancer is the most common of all the cancers.

"One in nine women will get it at some stage or another, plus around 300 men as well."
Around 260 people took part in last year's event which saw participants split into three groups – walking for 2.5km, 7km and 10km. It raised a total of £12,500.
The event begins at 11am on Sunday.
