Chairman of FROGS Phil Birch said: "We are delighted that such a huge number of people turned out to celebrate the wonderful new development at Welshmill.
"So many helped us to get the Community Spaces Lottery funding that paid for the improvements and the day was a great opportunity to say thank you to them all."
Together with Frome Town Council, FROGS are hoping to secure more facilities and are asking people what they would like to see for the next phase of the development.
Mr Birch added: "If we are successful in obtaining more funding, we will need to know what the people of Frome want. Ideas so far have been for more play equipment, more seating and for improvements to the woodland area. "
