Housing group helps out in bid to jump start jobless
A JOB club in Beaminster has received support from Magna housing association.
The club was set up around six months ago to help school leavers and job seekers in the area access advice and information to help get them back into work.
The 14 volunteers come from a wide variety of industries such as farming, mechanics, engineers, politics, media, advertising and the armed forces.
They have been working to help people gain work, work experience and enroll on training courses.

Volunteer Christian Tyler said: "The aim of the club is to be one of the first points of contact for school leavers and people who have been made redundant in the Beaminster area."
Magna housing association is hoping to help raise the clubs profile by advertising in the next issue of their resident magazine and on social media sites.
The club runs every Wednesday from 12.30pm until 2.30pm at the Yarn Barton Centre.
