The company has now revealed that it is due to reveal more building work in the area shortly, but it has ruled out further developments in Street.

The £29 million Houndwood scheme – a redevelopment of the former Clarks Shoes footwear depot and named after the factory – comprises 260 homes from one bedroom apartments to four bed houses. All feature high levels of insulation, high efficiency gas condensing boilers, local materials and sustainably sourced timber.
The housing development was formally opened in June 2011 by Tom Clark, a direct descendant of the family who founded the Clarks shoe-empire.
At the time he said that the development was a "joy" to watch it taking shape.
David Bond, Barratt Homes Bristol technical director commented: "We are delighted that Houndwood has been honoured in these prestigious national awards which recognise our commitment to outstanding design.''
The design can be seen throughout the development including the materials used, such as local Blue Lias stone.
There is also a strong emphasis on shared spaces, to create a safer pedestrian and cycle-friendly environment.
Houndwood was honoured at a ceremony at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London where Barratt was also named Sustainable Housebuilder of the Year.
Barratt Group sold 12,637 homes in the last financial year, making it the biggest housebuilder by volume in Britain.
The company was also named What House? sustainable Developer of the Year 2012, in addition to being voted Sustainable Housebuilder of the Year at the Housebuilder Awards 2012.
