Holiday plan dropped
An application for a new holiday let at Sharpham has been withdrawn.
The planning board at Mendip District Council had been due to debate the suitability of land at Cradle Bridge Farm, for a holiday home.
The Environment Agency has objected to the application, saying the land likes in a category at enhanced risk of flooding. But the farm's owner insisted the proposed building was due to be built on an are of minimum risk of flooding.
Shortly before the planning board was due to make a decision on the plans, the application was withdrawn entirely.
