High winds blow cannabis leaves onto Burnham-on-Sea beach
WICKED winds in Burnham-on-Sea have blown cannabis leaves onto the beach.
A hungry pedestrian on his way to Wetherspoons for a Sunday morning breakfast noticed some of the leaves on the promenade at 10.30am yesterday morning.
Knowing what the five-fronged leaves were, he took a photo on his phone and thought nothing more of it.
But returning an hour later he stuck his head over the sea wall and spotted a significant chuck of cannabis plant on the beach.

The walker, who does not wish to be named, said: "The wind has blown them in from somewhere. Saturday night was very windy in Burnham-on-Sea but the wind was blowing in from the sea."
The walker left the soggy, bedraggled Class B drug where he found it, fearing he would stopped by the police.
