Hero's welcome for charity motorcyclist as he arrives in India
Chilcompton's Simon Chegwyn was given a hero's welcome when he completed the final leg of his five-week charity biking trip from England to India.
A crowd of cheering children and drummers surrounded the 37-year–old when he arrived at the home of the charity Asha in Delhi.

Simon, who can more commonly be seen on his police motorbike for Avon and Somerset police, began his journey in Peasedown St John before travelling across France, Germany, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Bulgaria, Turkey, Iran, Pakistan and finally India where he arrived on October 13.
The biker began his mission with friend and fellow bike lover Richard Evans but after Richard experienced more than a few problems with his bike the pair went their separate ways before meeting up again at the base of one of the charities the pair are supporting.
Simon and Richard undertook the challenge to raise funds for Asha, which works to improve the lives of the country's slum children, and Weston Hospice Care, which cares for people at the end of their lives. They hope to raise a minimum of £3,000 for the charities.
