The following animals at the Happy Landings animal shelter, Pylle, are looking for homes this week.

Dogs, small: Oscar, four years, neutered male Shiatsu, under assessment; Alfie, five years, neutered male Jack Russell cross, tan, active.

Dogs, medium: Botch, five years, male Staffordshire bull terrier, black, brindle, white, good with dogs and people, no children under 12; Fraser, five years, neutered male collie cross Jack Russell, needs an active home, enjoys training, good with other dogs, no children; Harvey, three months, rough-coated collie cross, typical pup; Bruno, one year, neutered male, black and white Staffordshire, has lived with older children and dogs, nice boy but needs training.

Dogs, large: Miles, two years, neutered male weimaraner cross foxhound, has basic training, active, good with other dogs and children aged 10-plus, no small animals; Sioux, three years, neutered female lurcher, brindle, abusive background, good with dogs but no cats of small animals, needs an experienced owner; Johnny, five years, neutered male collie cross, good with dogs and children aged eight-plus, not keen on being left for a long time.

Cats and kittens: five kittens, five weeks old, black and white, and their 18-month-old mother, all friendly and well handled; Lucy, about two years, Burmillan, loves people, children aged five-plus, good with cat-friendly dogs, hates to be left for too long; Poppy, three-and-and-a-half years, domestic short-haired, tabby and white, friendly but shy at first, good with other cats; Sparkle, eight years, neutered female, domestic short-haired, black and white, used to a rural setting; Honey, seven years, neutered female, domestic short-haired, tortoiseshell, used to a rural setting; Asia, four years, neutered female tortoiseshell, good with most cats, shy with humans, needs a quiet home; McVitie, four years, neutered male, ginger and white, under assessment; Jojo, four years, neutered female, domestic short-haired, black, used to a quiet home, very loving; to be re-homed together – Blossom and Snowdrop, three years and eight months, both tabby and white, lively pair, may not be used to roads or dogs.

Rabbits: to be re-homed together – Jessie and Mint, two years, neutered female black Rex and neutered male grey and white lop, both well handled.

Ferrets: Bangers, three years, neutered male polecat, well handled and sociable; Beans, four years, neutered female polecat, well handled and sociable; Forx, three years, neutered male polecat, can be handled; Midnight and Twilight, both three years, neutered female polecats, both need further handling.

Degus (small rodents): Crush and Edwina, females, ages unknown.

Goats: Kid, 16 years, neutered male, black and white, horned; Newman, 11 years, neutered male, white and brown, horned; Billy, four years, male Sarnen cross, very friendly, needs good fencing; Martha, four years, white Sarnen cross, very friendly.

Sheep: Bean and Buntie, 18 months, females; Bubbles, 18 months, male. All hand-reared.

Hens: ex-battery hens seek free range homes.
