Tonight, further flurries are forecast - particularly over higher ground such as the Mendips, the Blackdown Hills and Exmoor.

With temperatures dropping below freezing tonight, there is also an increased risk of icy conditions on the roads.

The Met Office is forecasting a patchy mix of rain, sleet and snow for Saturday - with snow more likely further east in Somerset. A further 5cm could fall, and up to 10cm on higher ground.

Drivers are being urged not to travel unless their journey is vital. If you do need to drive today, here are some top tips for driving safely in snow and icy conditions.
