Hairdressers and Beauty salons face a real problem clients not turning up for their appointments!
I just want to sound off and have a moan !
I think it is time that I stood up for all the small businesses struggling to make ends meet and maintain staffing levels when we are constantly left with employed staff standing around waiting for clients who do not turn up for their appointments.

In this last week we at New Image Yeovil have encountered over 6 hours of 'no show' clients, mainly at peak times on Fridays and Saturdays.
All the more frustrating when we have in all probability turned genuine clients away as we are usually busy at those times.

No one wins in this situation as this eats into our profitability . What to do ? If it is a genuine reason for not attending and she is a good client normally we reschedule the appointment if not then we have to apply our cancellation policy which is a forfeit charge for not attending, this always upsets the client who then won't pay and invariably goes to a competitior.
Therefore, we have lost the client and the fee !
In an ideal world we should not have to put up with such behaviour, it is rude and devalues the therapist or hairdresser showing no respect for her/his professionalism! Treat others as you would be treated is a good way to live your life !
No wonder so many businesses are shutting up shop and giving up !
