Schoolchildren get their wellies out for Water Aid
PUPILS at a school near Crewkerne have raised more than £100 for charity as part of their autumn harvest topic.
The total sum of £136.97 was raised from a collection at the West Chinnock Primary School harvest service and a Wellington boot haul.
Rachel Mitchell, school business manager said: "The school council chose to raise money for Water Aid themselves, which is great.
"The council wrote letters to parents telling them of the work that Water Aid does and the pupils also discussed all the good work with their teachers in class, which was all part of their Harvest topic."
