Habitat store would make a great school
HAVING just visited the splendid Gromit exhibition at the old Habitat building with my grandson, it occurred to me that it would make a splendid site for the new free school.
Unlike the gloomy library basement it is light and airy and ripe for re development.
The site is still within easy reach of the Cathedral school and, with a little ingenuity, the mezzanine area on the ground floor could be converted into a suitable recreation area.
This would save the library from being decimated and shouldn't be disruptive to the area which is mostly business premises.
