Griffin Trampoline Club pick up podium places at SW Closed Championships
Griffin Trampoline Club picked up a host of podium finishes at the SW Closed Championships at the University of Bath on Sunday.
Cora Hayne from Chilton Polden was one of the first in action in a competitive under-15 age group and she completed two neat routines to finish tenth.
Crispin School pupil Abigail Lockyer was in the under-18 competition despite being just 15. Two solid routines earned her second place overall.
She then teamed up with Polly Evans, Charlotte Male and Lydia Cracknell to compete in the ladies' event. After two rounds, Lockyer was in sixth place, putting her through to the final, while Evans was ninth, Cracknell 16th and Male 20th.

With scores reset for the final, Lockyer pulled out an excellent routine to finish second again, helping the team to third place.
In the over-18 age group, Evans was victorious, Male came third and Cracknell was not far behind in fifth as Griffin comfortably won the team prize.
Carl Ranford finished fourth in the over-18 competition before picking up third place in the men's event, including a new move in his three routines.
Griffin's Kay Ellington was given the Services to Sport award in recognition of her dedication and hard work in judging, mentoring, coaching, running courses and sitting on committees.
