Golfer Craig Adams receives first call-up to England squad
Farrington Golf Club's Craig Adams has been selected for his first England appearance.
Adams, who has represented Somerset with considerable success over the last seven years, will be part of a six-man team at two events in France next month.
The plus-three handicapper from Peasedown will play in the Chiberta Grand Prix from July 5-8 and in the Biarritz Cup from July 11-15.
"I'm delighted to be selected for England," he said.

"This is something I never really thought would happen but I had a good finish in the Brabazon Trophy last year and my third place in the South West Amateur Championship may have clinched it."
Adams hopes to reach the England Elite squad, which is made up of the top ten men's amateur golfers in the country.
Meanwhile, Farrington players experienced difficult conditions at the County Golfer medal competition.
Dave Jones won the event with a round of 81 (nett 70) to qualify for the regional final at Honiton on August 6. Dave Harvey was second with 78 (70) and Steve Kingman finished third on 80 (75).
The recent Saturday Stablefords have been keenly contested, with wet and windy conditions providing a tough test.
