YEOVIL Town want to extend loan deals for Joe Edwards and Ryan Dickson after initial attempts were thwarted this week.

Bristol City's Edwards and Southampton's Dickson could both potentially play their final games for the Glovers at Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday.

Manager Gary Johnson has started dialogue with the two parent clubs to keep the versatile full-backs at Huish Park and tried to finalise discussions before Tuesday's transfer deadline.

However, it is believed City and the Saints did not want to hurry new agreements before the window closed, meaning Yeovil will have to wait in their bid to retain the services of the pair.
