Former Chelsea youngster Ben Gordon will sign for Yeovil Town tomorrow whilst Gary Johnson casts his eye over a young Jamaican midfielder.

The Glovers' boss has signalled his intent to potentially add two new faces to his squad, with versatile left-back Gordon - who played with Johnson's son Lee at Kilmarnock - the first.

The 22-year-old watched Saturday's goal-less draw with Hartlepool United from the stands alongside Jamaica under-20s captain Omar Holness, who had travelled north with the squad.

On Gordon, Johnson said: "People half know that I have looked to bring in Ben Gordon and he is joining us on Monday.

"We have got to start bringing in one or two. I don't want to start doing it at the last minute on deadline day when you can't sign anyone.

"He can play in central midfield as well. I have seen him quite a few times at Kilmarnock when I watched them in the Scottish Cup final and games likes that.

"He's a good player and not only that but a good character. That's what I have got to bring in so they can quickly mix with the characters and personalities in the changing room.

"He was in the stand with his dad and it's good that he saw it. He's one who can find a pass, he's had a good up-bringing with that sort of thing."

Holness, who spent a similar trial period at Bolton Wanderers earlier this season, holds a British passport and played in the Glovers behind-closed-doors friendly against Hereford United last midweek.

Johnson said: "We are going to keep him until the end of next week but we saw him on his first day.

"He flew from Miami, his agent drove him straight to the game from Heathrow and he got to the game at quarter to.

"He got straight off the plane, straight into the game and looked like he had quality. We are looking at him for the future as opposed to now."

Left winger Sam Foley is likely to miss tomorrow's clash with Crawley Town at Huish Park, having limping off at Pools with a hip injury.
