Gary Johnson hopes Keanu Marsh-Brown will learn from his Twitter outburst this week after revealing the attacker has apologised to his team-mates.
The former Arsenal and Fulham youngster was substituted at half time against Leyton Orient on Tuesday and within minutes of his removal a message was posted to his @KMarshBrown account on the social network reading “"?????????????????????????????".
The tweet was deleted before the end of the game, with Marsh-Brown yesterday saying sorry and blaming his brother for accessing his account.
However, manager Johnson said the 20-year-old has accepted the message was ill-timed, suggesting Marsh-Brown had, in fact, sent it himself.

The boss said: “I don’t use Twitter so I don’t really see the point in it. It was definitely the wrong time to tweet, you can’t do that.
“Of course we have had a word with him, he has apologised to the players and I think he has already apologised to the fans. I think it was a bit of a reaction that was wrong, he knows it was wrong and they know they shouldn’t be tweeting anyway about things at the football club.
“He has got to take his punishment, which he has done, and we move on. It wasn’t a rant necessarily but it was the timing of it, which was poor and not the sort of thing you should be doing when you should be in the dugout, cheering your team-mates on.
“He is only young and he has still got a lot to learn, that’s for sure. But we are hoping that we are getting through to him and hopefully from every misdemeanour he learns from them all.”
Rohan Ince has returned to Chelsea for treatment on an ankle injury aggravated in the build-up to Orient’s fourth midweek goal.
“He has gone back to Chelsea for treatment and that is all we can say,” said Johnson. “I don’t think it is necessarily a bad injury but all I can say at the moment is he back at Chelsea. He could be back here, we have just got to wait for a phone call.”
