Gary Johnson: Yeovil Town fans can make difference in promotion push
Yeovil Town fans have been encouraged not to miss out on what their team could be set to achieve, with bigger gates boosting chances of success.
The Glovers were due to start their weekend game with Preston North End just one point off the npower League One play-offs, following the first of three consecutive home outings with matches against MK Dons and Brentford.

But the game was called off yesterday afternoon for safety reasons after snow fell in Somerset.
After beating Sheffield United 2-0 at Bramall Lane last Saturday, manager Gary Johnson said his side could be on “the verge” of creating another chapter in the club’s history. He added that 500 or more extra supporters at games could aid squad-building plans at a potentially crucial part of the season.

Johnson said: “I am saying to people don’t miss out as we could be on the verge of something. If we can get 500 more through our gate it will mean so much more to the budget. If you get 1,000 more the world is your oyster.
“Anyone who has ever worked a budget knows that you can’t be spending out more than you are bringing in and obviously most of the revenue is through the home gate.
“We will see what happens in the next two or three games. We will try and do our job and entice people to come in. They have got to want to come in, they have got to feel comfortable and they have got to be confident they are not only going to be entertained but also appreciated.”
The Huish Park outfit this week launched the latest part of their Target 5 initiative where supporters can buy nine home tickets for the price of seven. The admissions apply to the remaining games after Preston.
