Gary Johnson: Tough away trips will test Yeovil Town promotion credentials
Gary Johnson is confident Yeovil Town can challenge for promotion but is refusing to get carried away with dreams of npower Championship football.
The Glovers climbed to third in League One with only goal difference keeping them out of the automatic promotion spots thanks to a club record eighth consecutive Football League victory on Saturday.
Scunthorpe United were the latest side defeated by the Huish Park outfit, falling to Byron Webster's stooping header, James Hayter's penalty and Paddy Madden's 18th goal of the season.
Despite believing Yeovil deserve to be where they currently are, Johnson will not be getting over-excited ahead of away trips to Doncaster Rovers and Colchester United.

He said: "When you get to third and you're only goal difference from being up there you must of course believe you have created a team capable of challenging for promotion.
"There are plenty of games to go, we have got to be careful because we have got a couple of difficult away trips.
"We have got to keep doing what we are doing and live for the moment. The players and the supporters seem to be very happy with what we are achieving at the moment.
"We are doing the right things at the right times and the boys are putting in that 100 per cent commitment to the cause and are getting their rewards."
Johnson also hailed the work-rate of top scorer Madden, who scored on his seventh outing on the trot to draw level with a 50-year-old club landmark.
"He is a class finisher and it's not just his finishing, it's his work rate which is what we are really proud of," said the boss.
"They are all working very hard and if you have got a striker working just as hard and earning his goals then you have got a good group."
