Ditcheat-based garden designer, Jane Follis, has been nominated for a prestigious BALI (British Association of Landscape Industries) award for a garden she designed earlier this year.
The award has made the shortlist for the "Domestic Garden Construction £60-£100k" category, and the winner of that category will be announced at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London in December.
The project at a private residence in Beaconsfield, took six months to complete with a four-strong team from J&S Scapes from Buckinghamshire, who has been Jane's partner contractor for more than 17 years.
Jane said: "To be nominated for a BALI award is quite an accolade. "The award ceremony is in London in December when we shall find out whether we have won the overall category."

Jane says the relationship between her and J&S Scapes has survived and thrived for so long as they "work side-by-side, striving for excellence to raise standards and awareness in both design and build."
In late 2011 J&S Scapes began various landscaping works for the client who had very clear ideas of what he did and did not want. In the absence of a design brief, Jane was called in to work specifically on the courtyard and housekeeper's garden.
The courtyard was approached by a long drive and, as the springboard to the main front garden, the back garden, terrace and pool area, was a crucial focal point of the outside space.
"The rest of the garden had already been landscaped, so it was important to create something sympathetic and unique. Although the courtyard led to the side entrance of the house, it was the main thoroughfare that really needed a wow factor," said Jane.
"We designed something welcoming but not imposing, creating intrigue with mature planting. "There was an added bonus of truly beautiful sculptures that needed to be incorporated into the design." Although the planting was the responsibility of the resident gardener, the design and build of the garden wthe job of Jane and J&S Scapes.
