Future is filled with hope for graduates
CAPS were tossed into the air and champagne bottles cracked open in celebration last week.
More than 300 University Centre Yeovil students graduated in 44 subjects ranging from honours degrees to nursing diplomas.

Friends and families gathered at the Octagon Theatre for the grand ceremony.

They were received by Calum Brown, 24, of Sherborne, Victoria Gould, 27, of Martock, Edward Narramore, 30, from Kent, Helen Wilson, 22, from Kent, Philip Rooke, 43, of Martock, and Chelsey Oxley, 21, also of Martock.
The annual Harry Livingstone Award for management excellence was presented to Natalie Adam, 40, of Yeovil, who completed an extended diploma in strategic management and leadership. The award recognises outstanding achievement by a business and management student.
The first master's degrees awarded by the centre were also presented this year.
Five Yeovil College staff members, Heidi Amor, Lorraine Burchell, Karen Foster, Andrew Perlejewski and Emma Samuels received master's degrees in personal and professional development.
The University Centre Yeovil is a partnership between Bournemouth University, the University of the West of England, the University of Gloucestershire, Swansea Metropolitan University and Yeovil College.
The University Centre is located on its own campus in Preston Road.
Yeovil College principal James Hampton congratulated the graduates on their success.
He told them they were "the future for this country, for our region and for Yeovil."
