Funnyman James Corden weds in rural Somerset
Actor James Corden has married fiancée Julia Carey in a no-expense-spared, star-studded ceremony in Somerset.
Fresh from his Broadway success, the 34-year-old said his "I do" at the 18-acre Babington House estate yesterday.
He wed his beautiful bride – dressed in a Monique Lhuillier white lace gown – in an intimate ceremony of 60 guests in a private chapel within the Grade II*-listed manor house's grounds, between Radstock and Frome.
The role of best man was claimed by close friend Ben Winston.
At the end of the ceremony Snow Patrol's Gary Lightbody serenaded the newlyweds and their guests.
The couple could not have looked happier as they walking hand in hand – Corden in a smart suit by designer Spencer Hart – following the ceremony.
Later around 300 guests, including comics David Walliams, Michael McIntyre and Jimmy Carr, toasted the couple with champagne.
Other guests included his Gavin and Stacey co-star Ruth Jones, Doctor Who actor Matt Smith, singer Natalie Imbruglia, comedian Jon Bishop, and ex-England cricketer Freddie Flintoff.
Entertainment was provided by Rizzle Kicks and former Radio 1 DJ Chris Moyles along with Greg James. The band members of One Direction were also in attendance.
Corden got engaged to the former TV producer in the Maldives on Christmas Day 2010. The couple have a son, Max, who is one.
