A GREYHOUND who has spent more than a year at an animal sanctuary in Barrow Gurney has finally found himself a new home.

Four-year-old greyhound Fudge arrived at Holly Hedge Animal Sanctuary in August 2010 after he was attacked by another dog, leaving him traumatised and defensive.

Mandy Seath, 43, of Withywood, Bristol, had been looking on the sanctuary's website for a new dog after the death of her German Shephard, Sheba.

Mrs Seath said: "I am really looking forward to taking Fudge home and helping him settle in to his new surroundings."

Holly Hedge founder and chief executive Pauline Leeson-Magry said: "It is fantastic that Fudge has found a new home, especially as he has been at the sanctuary for a considerable amount of time."
