Frome's Amelia Dyer guides England to third at Commonwealth Shooting Championships
Frome's Amelia Dyer set a new personal best to help the England Development Squad to third place at the Commonwealth Shooting Federation Championships on the Isle of Man.
The 15-year-old was the youngest member of the England squad and took part in the women's 50m prone individual competition, as well as combining with team-mate Erica Lawrence for the pairs event.
Dyer took the competition in her stride as she set a PB of 566 in the pairs to help secure third place behind Scotland and Northern Ireland.
"Being asked to represent England at such a prestigious competition was a huge honour and I hope they were as pleased with my performance as I was," she said.

"I also have to say a big thank you to my family and Andy Rowe of Active Fleet Solutions, who all helped me get to the championships in the Isle of Man. Without their help and support, I simply would not have been able to take part."
Managing director Rowe added: "As a parent myself, I know how much hard work and effort is needed to take a sport to this sort of level.
"I also know the financial implications of taking a sport to the level that Amelia is now shooting at so when a friend told me about her being invited to represent England, but needed help getting there, I was more than happy to help.
"I was really pleased to hear how well Amelia got on in the championships and know that, given her determination and ability, she will go from strength to strength."
