Frome ready for carnival celebrations
CELEBRATIONS this Saturday for Frome Carnival will be extended to the town centre throughout the day.
There will be the traditional children and adult processions through Frome during the afternoon and evening, but for the first time this year there will also be street entertainers in the form of gnomes, elves and pirates wandering around the town, as well as music, workshops, graffiti art and face painting.
Families are also being invited to join in the spirit of the day and dress up as pirates and join a hunt for hidden treasure in the pirate mob from noon outside the Frome library.
Pirate hats and eye patches will be made at Mistress Marvel's Costume Cabin between 11am and noon, also at the library.
