Frome pet store's Steph Graham gives Red Nose Day silent treatment

Tomorrow the Not Just Pets team at the Frome Pet and Aquatic store will celebrate Red Nose Day by making their most garrulous member of staff keep quiet all day.

Steph Graham is known for her bubbly, friendly, chatty nature and she has agreed to be sponsored to keep silent all day. She will be given a pen and paper to carry around in case she needs to communicate. The more she raises, the longer she will stay silent.

All members of staff will be dressing up in funny or red costume and staff are making homemade cakes for sale, all to raise funds for Red Nose Day.

This sponsored event will take place at the King Street store, while the sister shops in Bath and Larkhall will also be hosting sponsored events.

Tomorrow between 10am and 5pm the shop will literally go quiet, as Steph will no longer be allowed to speak.

There will be much silliness with members of staff donning their fancy dress all in the name of charity.

They have invited friends, family, customers and colleagues to show their support by sponsoring them and raise as much money as possible.

The money they raise will help people living tough lives across the UK and Africa.

Janine Tozer, owner of Frome Pet and Aquatics, part of Not Just Pets, said: “It will be a miracle if Steph stays quiet all day, she really needs all the public’s support so please pop in and give her encouragement and lots of dosh.

“The cakes usually sell fast so get in early to get yours. We are looking forward to dressing up and doing something funny for money by giving it a go for Red Nose Day 2013!
