Frome mayor praises hospital staff after he breaks wrist in fall
Frome's mayor, Dickon Moore has praised Frome Commmunity Hospital staff after breaking his wrist in a fall from his bike.
The incident happened on Wednesday morning on his way to work at Farleigh Hungerford Castle.
Now in a plaster cast, Dickon said: "The medical staff at Frome hospital have been fantastic. I was so impressed by the efficiency of the service, quality of treatment, and particularly the friendliness of the staff. Nothing was too much trouble for them, and I have to thank especially Andy and Matt for their care."
After hitting a branch in the road, Dickon fell off his bicycle near Lullington, just outside Frome. Before long, an x-ray had been taken and Dickon was told that he had fractured the scaphoid bone in his wrist. He will be continuing his mayoral duties with plaster cast in tow.
