Frome Town unlucky not to win against Kettering Town
Frome Town were unlucky not to come home with all three points from their Evo-Stik Southern League Premier Division 1-1 draw with Kettering Town, one of the biggest names in non-league football.
Dean Evans had a goal disallowed for the visitors before Lewis Powell headed home Mike Perrott’s cross after 34 minutes.
The lead was short-lived, though, the hosts hitting back inside three minutes through a Ben Gerring header.
After the break, Powell hit the post with a header before Ryan Bennett gave away a soft penalty, but Wayne Byerly saw his shot saved by Frome goalkeeper Darren Chitty.
