Frome made it difficult for Purnells to get into any attacking positions as goalkeeper Fin impressed and Sam, Max and Spencer were solid in defence.
Harley, Tom and Cory produced some good passing moves in midfield, while newcomer Ben showed plenty of skill.
Cory got Frome ahead following a good pass from Tom and Ben was next to score after a strong run.
Max then got on the scoresheet with a left-foot effort before Cory got his second. Ben sealed the win late on with another excellent strike.
Man of the match: Ben.

Curtis helped himself to two goals as Frome produced another dominant display.
Josh and Adam were strong in defence when called upon and keeper Max did his job when required.
Frome opened the scoring when good link-up play between Aurilian and Josh allowed Curtis to find the net.
Josh then pounced on a loose ball in the box to make it 2-0. Frome continued to have the upper hand and Aurilian was on hand to get the third goal.
Sam was unlucky to score after an end-to-end attack, Fin went close, Curtis hit the bar and Adam, Josh and Spencer also threatened.
The fourth goal finally came when Curtis collected a neat pass to rifle home.
Man of the match: Adam.
Purnell Sports U9 v Frome Town Youth U9
Frome Town impressed when they travelled to Purnell Sports for a contest split into three periods.
The opening duel saw Purnells pass the ball around with purpose. Having kept possession for a prolonged period, the hosts soon broke the deadlock.
The strike was cancelled out when Kieran attacked down the right and played in Dom. He had his first effort blocked by the keeper but managed to lift it over him at the second attempt.
It was Frome's turn to have the lion's share of possession in the second period. Mackenzie created the opening goal for Dom and then found Tom to cleverly dink the ball past the keeper.
Owen W rifled home when he tried his luck from outside the box and it was only a matter of time before Mackenzie turned from provider to scorer as he was also on target.
By the third period, Frome had grown in confidence and debutant Lucas showed some impressive skills.
Alfie picked up one of Lucas' passes and ran at the Purnells defence before slipping the ball to Dom, who sealed his hat-trick for the day.
Owen M scored a quick brace, one from a free-kick from outside the box, and Alfie got on the scoresheet after a mazy run.
Dom took his tally to four before Purnells finished off an excellent morning's action with a fabulous goal from Harrison.
