The visitors pushed Frome back twice through ill-discipline and problems around the new scrum law, allowing Bridport to score the opening try of the game which went unconverted.
Frome challenged well in some areas but good work from the Bridport back row put the hosts on the defensive and, from the next lineout, the visiting fly-half found a big gap to score under the posts before adding the conversion.
The pressure moved to the other end as Frome enjoyed their best spell of the match, winning a string of penalties in the Bridport 22 before half-time. King was held up but quick hands through the back allowed Warnock to score in the corner, reducing the deficit to 12-8 at half-time.
Frome made a great start to the second half as Rob Becher drove up the middle and good support work from the forwards led to Walker crossing to edge the hosts ahead, with the Bridport number eight sin-binned in the process.
Buoyed by this, Frome took the game to their opponents, only to be let down by handling mistakes and a sin-binning for Walker.
Bridport quickly turned the tables and applied the pressure, resulting in a close-range try from the scrum-half, despite good work in defence from Frome.
The hosts pushed to get back into the game but conceded a penalty in their own 22 and Bridport made no mistake to seal the win.
On Saturday, Frome host Blandford.
