Flooded animal sanctuary launches winter food appeal
A North Somerset animal sanctuary badly hit by November's floods is launching a winter food appeal.
Staff at Holly Hedge Animal Sanctuary in Barrow Gurney were forced to wade through up to three feet of flood water to rescue animals and take them to safety.
All of the sanctuary's animals were safely rescued and cared for during the flooding, but now the animal care team is launching a winter of fund-raising as it bids to recover from the damage.
The winter food appeal is looking for cash donations, or donations of pouches and tins for the cats and dogs.
15% OFF ALL CARPET AND UPHOLSTERY CLEANING THROUGHOUT MAY AND JUNE 2013
Contact: 01761 252680
Valid until: Sunday, June 30 2013
Staff are also organising a Christmas Cabaret and Disco Extravaganza at Pill Memorial Club on Friday night from 7.30pm. All proceeds will go to the sanctuary.
