Fish punks cross the border to launch a headline UK tour
The Jolly Farmer, Newton Abbot, Friday
Batten down the hatches... Cornish fish-punk warriors Crowns are crossing the border with all guns blazing to launch their first headline UK tour in Devon. Expect a rollercoaster ride of high-energy punked-up folk-underbellied songs that are winning these Launceston-bred troubadours a growing army of fans. The tour coincides with the release of their latest single My London, the only ballad on their debut album Stitches in the Flag, which was unleashed earlier this year. They've just been back in the recording studio, so they will no doubt be test-driving some fresh compositions, alongside the rabble-rousing numbers that get toes a-tapping, and have been known to prompt a spontaneous can-can. Support comes from Plymouth's Crazy Arm.
