Favourite bird seems to love our company
Robin and Hazel
Whenever I am involved in a conversation about favourite birds the robin is nearly always top of the list for so many people.
I can honestly say my whole family love robins. Over the years we have had some very tame ones resident in our garden and even in our house, should the back door be open.
They always seem to turn up wherever we are when we are out and about in the countryside, a loud burst of song giving away their presence. It seems to me they really enjoy human company, or more probably the food we provide. They will also follow you for short distances as you walk along, flitting from perch to perch as if trying to remain in contact with you.

I have never known this seemingly friendly behaviour with any other species of bird. It is no wonder they are so popular.
