Fantastic care given at RUH
Having seen and heard the media coverage given to Stafford Hospital and its failure to provide a minimum of care to its patients, I find it difficult to believe that there were so few staff and next of kin that were not prepared to take more positive action at what was such obvious abuse of patients.
I recently spent 14 days in Bath's Royal United Hospital with four medical conditions that entailed two overnight stays in the cardiac ward and the Parry ward and a further 12 days in the Pulteney ward.
During my stay I witnessed only care and attention afforded to all patients.
In the case of some elderly patients who were suffering from varying degrees of dementia, the patience with which these people were cared for whilst preserving their dignity, was nothing less than commendable.
