A MOTHER and her children witnessed a man committing an indecent act on a bus in Dorchester, police said.

The woman boarded the 212 Shoreline bus, which travels between Yeovil and Dorchester, at Trinity Street with her young son and daughter between 3.30pm and 4pm on Wednesday, August 25.

She reported the incident at 4.35pm.

Police Constable Anthony Skeldon, of Dorchester police, said: "The woman and her children sat near the back of the vehicle. A man looked in their direction while he inappropriately touched himself.

"The victims moved seats, but were understandably shocked."

The man was described as white, aged in his late twenties or early thirties, around six feet tall, of a medium build, with brown hair and blue eyes. He was wearing a navy blue beanie hat, blue jogging bottoms and a blue waterproof jacket.

Any information about the man should be passed to police on 01305 222222.
