FROMEFM course gives teenagers chance to broadcast
FROMEFM is running a four-day course in the last week of the summer holidays giving young people the chance to learn about broadcasting and putting together a radio show.
Participants will learn about different aspects of radio production including interviewing, microphone technique, sound editing, script writing, planning and presenting.
On the final day they will get the chance to present and broadcast their own programme live on 96.6FM.
Studio manager Terry Stewart said: "My son is keen on getting more involved with the radio and we thought it would be a great idea to get a group of children together and create a show to play out live on Frome FM.
"This will be a brilliant introduction to working in radio and a chance to develop new skills, have fun and be creative."

The course will be held from Tuesday, August 27, to Friday, August 30, 9.30am to 12.30pm at FromeFM's studios at the Old Fire Station on Christchurch Street West and costs £40. Priority will be given to 12 to 18-year-olds.
