Art lovers will be table to take a peek into the fascinating world of the artist's studio during the Frome Festival.

The open studio scheme includes Kate Cochran's varied paintings in oil and mixed media, paintings by Amy Yates and Rosemary Ramsay's stoneware pots which feature ash glazes on mugs, jugs, bowls and other domestic ware at Keyford.

Nearby at 14 Redland Terrace, Samantha West, a painter, will be exhibiting with textile artist Sarah Truscott and painter Jenny Thomas, where there will be oil and mixed media paintings as well as paintings from still life and nature expressing stillness and space, along with handwoven scarves and wall hangings using graduated colour to give a feeling of movement and harmony.

Many other studios will be open throughout Frome and its outskirts. Studios will be open on Saturday, Sunday and Saturday, July 11, and Sunday, July 12. The open studios event will give visitors the opportunity to meet and talk to Frome artists in their studios and homes across the town on both weekends of the festival, and the chance to browse and buy original art.

To find out about all the venues, visitors can pick up a guide in the tourist Information office, Black Swan, Cafe La Strada or Rook Lane Chapel.
