First F1 pole position in three years for Jenson Button
Jenson Button cruised to his first Formula One pole position since 2009 in qualifying for the Belgian Grand Prix.
The Frome Flyer is on the front row alongside Sauber's Kamui Kobayashi for Sunday's race, while his McLaren teammate Lewis Hamilton struggled and will start down in eighth on the grid.
Button said: "It's been quite a long time since I got my last pole position in Monaco. It's been emotional. Sundays have been good the last few years, but Saturdays have not always gone perfectly.
"It's so important to come back after the long break and have a good result. This is close to winning a grand prix for me."
