Example is never far from the headlines. He told The Sun newspaper last week that he was once abducted by armed Serbian gangsters who forced him to sing karaoke with prostitutes. The 31-year old star says the ordeal took place after he had performed in the Balkan state.
His name arose due to his initials being E.G., which is an abbreviation of the Latin phrase exempli gratia.
Of the festival, organiser Michael Eavis said: "It has a unique formula and appeals to a whole range of age groups."
