Matthew and Me take another leap in the right direction with the release of single Alright on March 25 – a taster for the album they have been recording at the legendary Rockfield Studios on the Welsh border.

To give this dreamy slice of classy guitar pop a proper launch celebration – and to air the rest of their moreish repertoire – the Totnes-based five-piece are playing a show in the main auditorium at Exeter's Phoenix on Wednesday, March 13.

With some special guests to warm the stage, this date will offer a fitting prelude for the rest of the year when the band – who have just signed a new management contract – plan to extend their passion for bespoke boutique shows that suit their ethereal, yet easily accessible, sound. Singer and guitarist Matthew Board says: "The Phoenix is a huge space for us, so it's quite daunting, but also really exciting."

Tickets for the Exeter Phoenix show are available in advance or on the night.
