Former England captain Andrew Strauss to headline Millfield School charity event

Former England cricket captain Andrew Strauss is to attend a charity event at Millfield School next month in one of his first public appearances since his decision to retire from the game.

The two-time Ashes winning skipper will visit the Street school on Tuesday, October 23, to hold a question and answer session as part of an event to raise funds for Millfield’s winter cricket tour to Dubai.

Tickets for the event cost £20 per person and include a buffet, tea and coffee. A cash bar will also be available on the night. The buffet will be served from 6.15pm, with the talk beginning at 7.15pm.

There will also be an auction with the opportunity to bid for a number of fantastic and rare items.

The school can currently only accept cheque or cash payments and spaces are limited, so book early to avoid disappointment. All proceeds will go towards supporting the winter tour.
