Enchanted Ball raises £13k
HAZLEGROVE School in Sparkford raised more than £13,000 for the Help For Heroes charity by hosting an 'Enchanted Forest' ball.
Of the 300 guests, many embraced the theme by dressing as fairies, goblins and sprites.
Most of the money was raised from an auction with guests bidding on lots provided by local businesses.
Ball committee chairman Emma Cobb said: ''We were delighted to have raised so much money for such a worthy charity. The parents, staff and their guests were very generous in donating items for the auction and the lucky dip prizes and I'd like to thank them all for their help."
