The Duke of Gloucester will formally open Somerset St John Ambulance's new Bridgwater training centre next Monday.

The Duke, who is Grand Prior of the nation's leading first aid charity, will meet staff and volunteers and tour the purpose-built centre which replaces facilities in Taunton as the county HQ.

The new £1.5 million state-of-the-art building, just off junction 23 of the M5, will enable the charity to train more people in the skills needed to save a life in an emergency.
