TWO people were arrested and bailed after a cross-border operation on the Severn Bridge before a raid on a Burnham property.

A 49-year-old man and a 34-year-old woman were apprehended after officers with sniffer dogs executed a drugs warrant on an Abingdon Road property on Wednesday night, August 25.

A police spokesman said: "Police were involved in a cross-border operation after a vehicle was stopped on the Severn Bridge.

"Two warrants were executed and the man was arrested on suspicion of possessing a Class C controlled drug, while the woman for possession of cannabis.

"Both were bailed pending further enquiries."
