Driver Alert: Cheddar braced for road works hell
CHEDDAR residents will have to negotiate an assault course during the remainder of September and part of October as the council have listed a staggering 11 road work notices just for this week.
Last Monday, a major road closure running through the village began, restriing residents between the hours of 6.30pm and 11.30pm.
The first roads to be affected are listed as between Latches Lane and Parsons Pen and Church Street.
The second notification refers to Bath Street and between Parsons Pen and Lower New Road.

The third notification, for the same group of road works, states between The Hayes and Lower North Street and Cathay Lane.
This set of major road closures are set to last up to 30 nights, although the third notification could be finished as early as today.
In addition to the major works, further delays can be expected as 11 other notifications have been given leading to the end of this month.
This is in addition to two separate road work notifications that are set to end today on Moor Lane and Axbridge Road.
Roads that will be affected by signage and traffic control include:
Round Hay, Tweentown, from September 16 to September 20
Kent Street, September 17 to September 23
The Link, September 17 to September 23
Sharpham Road, September 17 to September 19
Viking House, Cheddar Business Park, September 19 to September 23
Coxs Mill, The Cliffs, September 19 to September 23
Tween Town, September 19 to September 23
Ubley Drove, September 20 to September 24
Bradley Cross Lane, September 23 to September 24
Froglands Way, September 30 to October 4
Wedmore Road, September 30 to October 9
